Celebrating a clients success

Had a great day on Thursday.

On Wednesday I’d got loads of work done so I could spend some time with my kids (I’d organised a playdate!), and

I’d managed to get some JOT things finished off to be able to streamline my on-boarding process for new clients.

The play date was great, the kids played really well (most of the time) and it was nice to catch up with a friend.

And then, at around 5pm I got a phone call from a client I worked with a few weeks ago. I’d redone her resume as she was leaving her then current employer. It had been a long time since her resume had been done, so she wanted to bring it into the 2019s!

Well, in in the early hours of Thursday morning she had applied for a position using the work I had done for her. (What I should mention is that her references we not attached as we were waiting for them to come through!)

So she just uploaded the work I’d done at about 2am, and by 10am she had an email saying she’d been shortlisted into the final process! Amazing

she gave me a call to let me know what had happened and thanked me for doing such a great job.

I was really touched by this and so happy for her that it had happened. As a contractor, with some of the work you do, you don’t normally get to hear the outcomes, so

for her to call and tell

me this was just amazing.

Her success feels like my success in a way!

I wish her all the best in the final stages and I‘ve got everything crossed that she gets it.
